Attacking a fellows ancestry is always an effective tactic. But then again aren't we all descendants of apes.

Heh...the latest is Obama fails to return the Marine's salute - walks right by him like some nobody and climbs on his chopper.

Somebody inside the chopper tells Obama he fucked-up again and he backs out of the helicopter and goes out to shake the Marine's hand!

Apparently this was a misguided attempt to make up for forgetting to salute. Or maybe our Commander in Chief was reminding the corporal to always have an umbrella at hand. In any case, it warrants yet another facepalm.

In the end he still failed to salute the Marine.

President's salute not a good idea

It raised eyebrows back in 1981 when new President Ronald Reagan began returning the military salutes of the servicemen standing guard when he'd disembark from Air Force One or from Marine 1, the helicopter that would deliver him to the White House lawn.

No presidents before had returned those salutes, not even Dwight D. Eisenhower, who just seven years before he took office had been a five-star Army general. Reagan, who had held the rank of captain in the Army Air Corps during World War II, changed all that and every president since, including our present one, renders the salute.

Although it was far from the biggest issue of the day, many commentators did question the practice at the time, pointing out that while, yes, the president was commander in chief of the military, he wasn't a military person himself and by saluting was insinuating that he was.

President's salute not a good idea [Progressives find something else wrong, Reagan did it]

No doubt if it was Obama instead of Reagan that started the tradition of returning salutes, Booners would be all over him for pretending to be a soldier.

If Obama is so bad, why can't you find real reasons to criticize him?

Look no further than the growing number of scandals Obama is enmeshed in.

Oh yeah those are real important.

An anti tax movement under scrutiny from the IRS. Big surprise there.

As well as an embassy attack where Repubs faked and doctored emails.

    And something about an umbrella.

    Try harder Booners.

There are more important things he can be criticized for.

Well, the James Rosen/AP Scandal is a good one to get your teeth into. Seems Holder has lied under oath and Big White has suddenly gone silent on that.

Good thing they have a long holiday weekend (Memorial Day) to work up some more world-class lies, eh?

Oh, our resident hawks don't miss a thing. So far, we've been treated to righteous outrage over several things Obama has done designed to unravel the very fabric of American society.

    Such as-
Not wearing an old Glory lapel badge
Putting his feet on the oval office desk
Bowing to the (miniscule) Japanese Emperor
    Dressing foreign in foreign countries
    Visiting foreign countries
Not putting his hand on his heart
    Carrying an umbrella
    Not carrying an umbrella
    Attending Harvard
    Riding a bike
    Playing basketball
Pitching a baseball (not very well)
    Shooting a skeet gun
    Flying in AF1

It's just one damning expose' after another, blatantly ignored by those liberal wingnuts in the state controlled lamestream media, and low information voters everywhere. Scandalous.

That is a matter of opinion. Not yet proven. I am not defending Holder and think his intimidation of the press is a serious matter that may lead to his undoing. I caution about contending that perjury is a foregone conclusion.

Notice how I left that one out? I'll admit, it is more important than a fukking umbrella or missed salute.

If the Repubs keep nitpicking at the little things instead of getting their own house in order, as well as realizing what the majority of people want, they will forever be doomed to the wasteland of politics.

Interesting that you mention the bowing thing as there's growing speculation that Obama is grooming himself to become the next UN Secretary General. The man's ego won't let him stop at being a mere 2X POTUS and besides, it jives with his 'worldview' of fundamentally transforming the world in his own vision.
