Oil: Chevron holds talks with Iraq to build facility

Iraq is in negotiations with San Ramon-based Chevron Corp. and Exxon Mobil Corp. to build a new $3 billion petrochemical facility, and is in talks with several other Western companies over industrial projects.

In an interview Thursday, Fowzi Hariri, Iraq's minister for industry and minerals, said the discussions with Chevron and Exxon began this week in Washington and are at an early stage.

But yes, look at all of the contracting, companies, fraud, and corruption involved.

I guess it's the "sacrifice" for "freedom" that we have to make.

It can get kinda complicated but bottom line - when the 'Benjamins' are involved, altruistic ideals go out the window...

maybe bush and cheney are iranian double agents.....it certainly would explain a few things.

All conveniently placed to feed that pipeline through Afghanistan too, a deal rushed through as soon as possible after the puppet Karzai government was installed.
