Preface....
A masonic temple. I believe Booners and a couple others are Masons, so they can pitch in and explain the symbolism and why it is so pertinent (or deny everything - up to them).
We the people... in the rightful position... propping up a something that looks very reminiscent from the dollar bill...
..of course - the IRS more or less came about on the same day as the Privately Owned Fed Reserve was created (and the ADL). So blatant though? Ugly building, made ugly purely for some symbolism.
Any masons out there offer some more insights?

This rather public display of Masonic symbology does give one pause. Suspect the architects were trying to lend credence to their ugly building by ripping off The Craft's more widely known symbols.
