That doesn't make it legitimate, it makes it a news story.

Rubio using his credit card to fix his van is also a news story. Who cares?

But in the big picture, the email story, like the Benghazi story, is meaningless shite.

It's all part of the fake narrative to try and discredit Clinton.

There are a lot of fake narratives around peddled by all sides, Shillary is no special snowflake in this regard.

He made a tactical error in showing support for her, it puts her in a good light, a pretty dumb move for someone competing with her to be nominated for prez.

Its well beyond a news story as there is a FBI investigation going on. I personally think he should have used it against her, but at the very least he should not have defended her, its was a boneheaded move. He has handed her the nomination, or at very least given her a big boost for no reason.

The FBI investigation is only taking place because of the news story.

Its completion will signal yet another failed GOP fake "Scandal", and it will go the same way as the fake IRS scandal, the fake Benghazi scandal, etc.

And the continued attempts at smearing her with lies will get thrown in the face of whichever numpty wins the clown show.

Not every news story becomes the subject of an FBI investigation. Sanders himself is backtracking and saying there are valid questions that need to be answered and the FBI investigation should continue.

No-one has said it should stop.
