), but I did like this statement she made,……..

"Twice now a Democratic president has had to come in and clean up the mess left behind," she said, praising the economic records of her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and Obama. "We have to build a growth and fairness economy -- you can't have one without the other."

Do you make it up as you go along?

By backing Clinton, the American Federation of Teachers, which as the nation's second-largest education union represents 1.6 million members, became the first national union to endorse a 2016 candidate.

A union's endorsement provides candidates with an extra boost in grassroots work, with members often helping to canvass neighborhoods and work the phones in the run-up to an election.

"Leading up to November 2016, AFT members are expected to make more than 1 million phone calls and knock on more than 500,000 doors," the AFT said in its statement announcing the endorsement.

To make its decision, the AFT says it polled its members twice, held town hall forums, established campaign-issue websites, conducted research as well as used the questionnaires and interviews. A poll conducted by Hart Research between June 22 and 27 showed that 79% of members who can vote in the Democratic primary support a primary endorsement and those members prefer Clinton (67%) over Sanders (19%). O’Malley, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee each got no more than 1% of the vote.

He did not miss the point Boon but you did. Safire was obviously stung by the criticism he received for the op-ed you cited and he later tried to back pedal his meaning by saying he meant 'congenial'.
Duh, no shit, Sherlock. That point was as clear as the nose on your face.

What's not clear is you're misunderstanding my response re congenital vs congenial.

Just focus on the 'Blizzard of Lies' and don't fret yourself with too many big thoughts on how to spin Safire's op-ed.
