GOPers, too thick-headed to listen to their conservative advisers on the Benghazi situation. And now their pathetic smear campaign has blown up in their face.

They stepped in it big time. Now it will be fun watching them try to wipe the stink off.

Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol thinks Republicans should stop attacking former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her role in American failures before, during, and after the September 11, 2012 Benghazi terror attacks. Appearing on Fox News Sunday on Sunday, Kristol said that ads against Hillary were “ridiculous.” He also said that conservatives should not attack the Obama administration over reports that the IRS has been targeting conservative groups for added scrutiny.

He said, “There’s no campaign going on. Let’s pull the partisanship back. It’s genuine outrage. There should be bipartisan committees investigating both from Congress. So I wish the Republicans would just be quiet for a while, the groups that are fund-raising, would be quiet on both issues for a while, and find out what really happened.”

This simply shows that "conservatives" are not all "extremists" or "brainwashed" as you guys keep yapping on about. Conservatives come in all stripes and they say what they think even if it goes against the majority.

This is one man's view. People are always taking some comment made by one individual and presenting it as the position of the "right" or the "left" when in fact it's no such thing. Everyone has an opinion....this is just one of the many.

Check this out. No joke - Obama promotes a State Department flack who scrubbed the Benghazi Talking Points of references to Al-Qaeda.
President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration’s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs.

Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State’s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council.

Nuland’s nomination — which requires Senate confirmation — could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping the talking points that U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice used when she appeared on Sunday shows several days after the attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead. Emails show that Nuland had “serious concerns” about an early draft of the talking points, and conveyed the State Department’s wishes that references to Al Qaida and the CIA’s warnings about the dangers to U.S. diplomats in Libya removed from the document."

So, Let's Get This Straight. Lois Lerner Gets Put On Admin Leave And This Victoria Nuland Gets...Promoted?

It's certainly an Obama World. These Marxists are basically saying, Fuck You, America...

The majority of "conservatives" in America are in fact extreme and mainly brainwashed. They differ from the conservatives of the previous generations. They are enslaved by dogma religious and otherwise.

The legitimate conservatives in America are marginalized and have little voice in the US. In the rare cases that they speak out they are lambasted by the extreme right wacko's that have high jacked the Republican party.

    case in point;

Until it's time to vote. They then vote Dem/other or not at all. Will continue as long as GOP excludes moderates, embraces agenda of exclusion and allows the party to be hijack by extreme so called conservatives.

If by 'legitimate' Conservative you mean a guy like McRino who sides with Democrats and attacks Conservative Senators?
Sen. John McCain hammered his fellow Republicans on Thursday, saying that further objections to moving ahead on the budget could carry dramatic implications for future bills, including immigration.

Tea party conservatives have objected to a House-Senate conference on the budget resolution, fearing that a deal could mean the adoption of a debt ceiling increase. Democrats and some Republicans have cried foul, and McCain (Ariz.) said on the floor that if the GOP seeks to require conditions before going to conference, there’s nothing preventing the same thing happening on future bills, such as the farm bill currently on the floor or immigration legislation later this year.

“If we agree that a small number of senators could basically change the way the Senate does business it could have serious ramifications in the future,” the Arizona Republican said.

And furthermore, blocking a conference could entice Democrats to try and change Senate rules, he said. Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has been speaking to Democrats on a plan to overhaul the filibuster for executive branch nominees and some liberals have been pushing him to go further."

He's Not Called MCRINO For Nothing

We respect his service to the country but he needs to be put out to pasture now.

^ Booners highlights exactly why the Republican party is failing. The GOP has been hijacked by Neocons, Big Business and the Religious Right and and no longer represents mainstream America.

If the GOP continues to pander exclusively to the Tea Party thugs and ultraconservative white male voters they will continue to fail.

RINOs, libbies, low info sheeple, socialist, commie, nazi, traitorous, unpatriotic, takers, brainwashed, etc, etc.

Nice neat labels to apply, as the case my be, to anyone regardless of party affiliation who happens to have the slightest deviation from the far right so called "conservative" agenda.

Sen. John McCain, Mr. Kristol and a host of other sensible moderate Republicans created the monster by pandering to the attack dogs. Consensus and moderation are dirty words. Your attack dogs will be snapping at your RINO balls.

They allowed the GOP and traditional conservatism to be hijacked. They want a voice, best denounce the far right and take the party back.

yeah, you'll notice that establishment republicans never really went near this nonsense..and are now doing their level best to distract from it.

however, residents of the far right fever swamp like koman and earl are still convinced that there's a conspiracy afoot.

"there just has to be a coverup"
    "it's inconceivable that there wasn't a coverup"

As the Republican's attempts to politicize the Benghazi attacks continue to fall apart, we should focus on the real problem: extreme budget-cutting has consequences. When Republicans cut the requested security funding, they endangered Americans doing diplomatic work in dangerous place.

    The real Benghazi Scandal:

Nice try - but another Lib Failure.

That's an old straw man argument which had nothing to do with the events leading up to the Ambassador's death. Security was called for and denied besides....drum roll here...who gave the order to Stand Down.

    That's the operative question here.

Just bumps in the road & what does it matter are the two operative phrases the guilty are employing.

Locus of the argument is who gave the order to stand down. If one cannot recognize that salient fact, then you need one of these:
