9/11 was any thing but insignificant. It was the call to arms to gather popular merkin support for all out war on the middle east starting in Iraq all the way through to Iran. They would not have got tacit permission from the flag waving merkins to do this, absent some catastrophic and catalysing event - like a new Pearl Harbor.
