Dapper is having a meltdown because he was the dominant personality in a single brain celled host body suffering multiple personality syndrome. He is being pushed out by the ent personality who's been out for lunch for the last 6 months.

Obviously there is going to be some quantum weirdness as they fight over the brain cell... but once its sorted we will be returned to their normal fruit and nut service.
