    British Restaurants in Pattaya

This place is pretty good, The Elephant Restaurant and Sports Bar, its off of Pratumnak Road down Soi 4 opposite the Asia Hotel, ie about a 100meter walk to the beach, Pratumnak Road is the long way round to get from Pattaya to Jomtien and passes Buddha Hill/Mountain.

As you can see in the photo it is open fronted, so don't expect air-con.

Nice pool table, got a few computers, not sure if they are free to use but they do have free wifi, about time more places in Pattaya gave free wifi, in this part of the restaurant your allowed to smoke, doubt you are in the back bit though, toilets nice and clean but I forgot to take a photo

The mixed grill, cost was 345baht, even got a lamb chop in there somewhere, the photo doesn't really do justice to the amount of food there is on that plate, the plate is massive and it was packed with food, doubt I could eat it all in oneday.

My steak pie and chips which was the daily special, 150baht, still a tad expensive, it did come with a jug of gravy, but this type of pie the Australians wouldn't like, even I found it a bit too dry and I'm used to normal dryish English pies, not sure if they make the pies themselves or not but it must have been the dryest I have ever had, still, more room for steak

With the greatest respect DD that is not what I'd call a massive plate of food.

A reasonable breakfast, maybe, but hardly a mixed grill.

Agree with that. Deffo looks more like a breakie from here - the pie on the other hand looks like a decent deal.

This isn't a bad mixed grill, just missing a couple eggs.

The sausages are too thin and it looks like those beans aren't Heinz

DD is quite accurate in that the plate is a fair size. The bacon was real back bacon, not the streaky Thai stuff. Beans could well have been Heinz since they were edible, and this bar does have HP sauce. The lamb chop was pitiful though. Tasty button mushrooms.

They do charge for the computers - I think it is ThB 100 for 30 mins - but the free wifi is a good deal.
I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.

^ I forget the name, but there are cheap Aussie beans in Tesco that taste not much dissimilar to Heinz
