Long term car storage in Pattaya??

    Hi all,
Does anyone know of a secure car storage facility in or around Pattaya and what is a reasonable monthy fee?
    OR
Any advice on what is the right thing to do (i.e. disconnect battery, put the car up on stands, etc.) for long periods of non use left in our garage?

    Thanks

I have always left my vehicle with a trusted friend and asked them to start ever other day and drive it once a week. If you let it set, the rotors and other parts get rusty.

disconnect the battery . spray the whole engine bay n running gear with WD40 .
when u get back wash brake discs with soapy water , connect the battery , check oil, water, then add a little oil to the top end , then turn engine ova.
drive like a fairy for the first 10 kms.
will not put up wiv the "Nanny state" so don't push it on me.

Problem with leaving it parked up is rats and mice eating all the wiring, get a friend to use it a couple of times per week.

^ That is a real problem here, had my fuel injector wiring eaten after the car had sat only a week because I had used the motorcycle instead. Funny thing was, when I spoke to a mechanic in Sattahip, he told me what the problem was before he even went to the house to look at it.

WD 40 is crap! the heat here dries it out within a month or so, when it dries leaves surface with no protection, get some "'ACF 50" its what they use when they store aircraft, great stuff.
You really want to put the car up on ramps if leaving long term, best bet as already suggested is to rent it out...

^ An alternative to ACF though not as good is good old baby oil, least it stays moist, both Sonnax & WD seem to dry out and destroy chrome...

Thanks to all for the advice offered.
We're only planning to leave the car up country for 4-6 months at a time so I'll take the cat, starting it up twice a week and (with no chance of buying ACF50) the WD40 plan.
