^ She may have mate but she didn't seem inclined to get anything out for me.

I'm not sure about income. I think she has some rental income - the apartments she lives in are hers - but I must admit I hope that she doesn't find any more injured dogs on the side of the road.

Good to see the updates on Moodeng, Lola, Anna, etc. I had an "aww" moment too, when I saw your daughter's toddler pics. She's now a young lady.

    ^ She's 12 Katie, going on 18.

I wish she could have stayed a little girl forever but I guess all dads say that. She's growing up so fast... my Spotify account has been taken over by this teenage crap which keeps cutting in while I'm trying to listen to Neil Diamond. I'm thinking of getting one of these dual accounts for her Christmas present, more for me than her, to be honest.

What is that in the distance?

Yes, it's Anna. I do two dog walks every morning, two sets of three and Anna comes along on both. Her time on the street means that she is traffic-wise and street-wise to any loitering soi dogs so she doesn't need a lead, and much to my other dogs' fascination just wanders off and suits herself.

She doesn't really interact much with the rest of the pack at home but the welcome they all give her when she deigns to rejoin us at the end of the walks, show how much they all care for her.

I don't think dogs like when a member strays from the pack.

You think that they are overjoyed, with seeing you again, when you return from the schoolrun ?

No, it's more the "where the fuck have you been" and "the pack is together again" behaviour playing out.

    Or so I think

    (maybe I shouldn't)

^ To be honest, I reckon that these guys are very functional mate... they may be a motley bunch but somehow they hold it together and get along. They have the occasional squabble but by and large they're a lot more harmonious than the humans around here...

I sometimes wonder if Anna actually enjoys Christmas.

I'm not sure that she enjoys all the attention...

And of course, Yogi is an ever present menace... he just loves a girl in uniform.

But Anna wanted to say a big Merry Christmas to everyone at TeakDoor. At least, that's what I reckon.

And these photos don't just take themselves...

    But finally...

    Merry Christmas from Anna, everyone!

Nice pic of Anna in the chrissy costume. I can't help noticing that she needs a pedicure...

As for Yogi, he has a face made for radio and onebthat only a mother (or owner) would love. But as I've said before, he has his good qualities - loyal & tenacious.

Gerrard Gethings, a well-known animal photographer, was commissioned by Laurence King Publishing to photograph 25 pairs of identical-looking humans and their dogs for a game called "Do You Look Like Your Dog?" In October 2020, Gethings also released the pairs as a book, as well.

These furry friends and their owners looks so much alike you might do a double take.

    ^ and ^^ Lol.

@mendy - somehow, I was reminded of the "Miranda rights" in American cop shows. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

In this case, anything (or any pic you post) can be used against you....

I hate dogs, but some of the owners are worse, you know then ones who call them 'fur babies' and claim there are no bad dogs only bad owners. Cats at least have some dignity, dogs are just pathetic food beggars and tend to stink the house out, never mind the barking and jumping all over visitors.

There's sill some way to go, but already Moodeng's left rear leg is far stronger than we ever dared hope would be possible.

It's a very good outcome considering what happened to her, though.
