    Howdy Boys!

Just wanted to introduce myself and get started posting. I made a mistake and joined Thai visa and had a ride around that hell hole for a bit. It seems they do not know one damn thing about freedom of speech. I told them to kiss my ass when they kept axing my contributions! I am a proud Vietnam veteran that did not have much chance to enjoy the ladies there as I was busy keeping the dinks at bay. I was introduced to Thailand a while back and wish I would have took my R and R here back when I did my tour. I probably would never have went home if I had. Since coming here, I fell in love with a beautiful little tart from E-Saarn and relocated my ass here to the bush to tie the knot with her. She is great and life can't be better. I just finished construction on our house and been getting it outfitted with all the necessary Western gear. Looking for tips on living here and maybe some directions to some spots I can enjoy the R and R I missed out on.

I thought you guys called it the 'boonies' ? And I always thought the Vietcong were called 'Charlie', not dink's ? Welcome.

The diminutive "the boonies" can be heard in films about the Vietnam War such as Brian De Palma's Casualties of War. It is used by American military personnel to designate rural areas of Vietnam.

Don't sweat the small stuff. And tell the folks back home to read Smeg's threads, otherwise we might be facing a population explosion.

Welcome to TD, TT. Btw what is 'Texas Toast'- burnt BBQ?

    Welcome Texas Toast,

You'll be able to set the comment of your choice under your name when you reach 1000 posts, until then be prepared to travel virtually throughout Thailand.
