Hi guys and gals,
I am an American expat currently living in the Lumpini area of Bangkok with my wife and 18 month old baby girl.
I am an Executive Chef and met my wife at a function for the food industry being held at her university in the states.
After 5+ years of being married and living in the states we decided to move to LOS as all of my wife's family lives here and since she had recently got her degree, she is ready to begin her own career!
We have been in Bangkok for a little over 8 months and I happen to love the place. My wife has taken a job at an embassy here in the city and I have been enjoying some long ovedue R&R
Anyhow...After lurking on a couple of Thailand related forums for some time, I have realized that I am more of a TD type of forum user.....And so here I am. I'm looking forward to meeting some people here as we will be staying for some years to come! in the next week we will be moving to our second condo near Onnut which is exciting. I am however concerned that the area where the new condo is doesn't seem to have as much to offer in terms of restaurant's small shops etc... Our current place is across from the Lumpini Boxing Stadium and we have become quite fond of the area and the people.. I haven't taken much time to stroll around Onnut so I'm hoping its not a drag.
Anyhow, It's great to be here and I look forward to a few beers with some fellow expats in the near future! Thanks
R.
