    HEllO TeAkDoOr

    Hi

I noticed some of you are into file sharing, so I thought I'd join... actually hoping some of you might join us - expathub - the file sharing hub of Thailand. We use the Direct Connect protocol for file sharing, which has a similar feel to old Napster and mIRC, but is specially made for sharing files at good speeds. The expathub is intended for broadband users in Thailand, to avoid throttled connections on international links.

We are totally non-commercial , and everyone who lives in Thailand, who has hi speed internet and is willing to share files is welcome.

To try it out, download ApexDC++, run the program, enter your connection settings and then go to Favorite hubs, and add expathub.dyndns.tv to your favorite hub list and connect.

Introduce yourself in the main chat and check out the newbie guides. If you have any questions after reading the newbie guides, ask in the main chat and somebody will help you out.

It's a really friendly place. See you there.

    Yes, good point, Helicopter.

Let's put it this way instead: Anyone in Thailand who has DSL, cable or wireless internet.

The point of the hub is to make the most of the mostly shitty connections we get here. They run at almost full speed in the hub, but if you try to get stuff internationally, it is often really slow.

Apart from that, it's just a nice place to hang out, a good friendly group of people.

Hi and welcome! I heard about you guys on another forum but didn't have a good link then. Now I have a 1mbps ADSL and get about 50 - 60 kbytes/sec downloads using Azureus.

I'll have a look at your hub because I'm interested to know how it differs from what I'm doing now.

If you could post some snippets from the Newbie guide, it might help people to understand what you are doing and encourage them to join.

I will check out your place, you got any good porn?
Readers on here would be very interested if you were the "porn hub of Thailand"

Hi RDN. That "other" forum sometime seem scared of us.

    Good suggestion, thanks!

I will adapt the newbie guide and post here tomorrow.

    Helicopter:

We use to have porn but stopped because of that watching "eye in the sky"...

So no porn (shared in the hub) at the moment...

Yep, there are clients for Mac and Linux too. The Linux client is called dcgui.

Cannot remember what the mac clients are called but you can find through Google I think.

There are one or two users who are not on Windows already.

Slimboyfat: I am sorry. I am sure we have anti-upsetting e-books in the hub.

    Yes, I remember that.
I was the same, only had a dial up connection at the time which was too slow to do anything. The guys on the chat recognized my nickname and were really helpful.
I've got ADSL now so must give it another try.

Hi Thetyim Sorry, not very clear of me - expathub.dyndns.tv IS the address - so that is what goes in the address field under Favorite hubs. As for the Hub name field, you can enter whatever you like, I suggest Expathub to make it simple. Dont worry about the other fields.

Expathub, file sharing sounds cool but I am very LOW tech. I can barely post here!
