posting pics on a Thread

Finally i have had to admit defeatafter two days of trying to post a pic to a thread,a great deal of hair pulling, swearing, reading all of the other posts and guides with regard to this subject,and even considering a course of electro convulsive theraphy, I have decided to ask for help.

I sucessfully managed to upload my images to my gallery, after making the images a sutable size 800x600, but after that it has become self flagulation with JPEG.

I click on the image i want to insert into the Thread, then click on it again to make it larger, then right click on it and select properties,but dont seem to be able to copy the url to be pasted later.this is where i am having the problem.

when i go to the little box with the montain in it, and try to insert image, i get the box where you have to insert the url for a particular image. I delete anything else in that box, but can't paste the required url into that box.

Please,please,please help, before i go totally mad.I am sure that it is just something very simple, like me

I just right clicked on your pic and copied "Image Location" and then pasted it into the mountain

O.k......once you right click on the image , and from the drop down menu right click properties , right click on the address URL and another drop down menu appears.
At the bottom of this , right click again on ' select all ' and this will highlight the address URL in blue. Right click again on the now highlighted URL address and another drop down menue appears. Right click on copy then paste that into the waiting box that will have appeared when you clicked on the little mountain in the thread you want to post your image in.

DD thanks for the help, i have just managed to do it now al I have to do is read about constructing a thread so that I can have multiple images and text in one Thread.I expect that will take me another two day

Can anyone tell me why my location under my screen name keeps changing by itself? It went from "Bangkok" to "expat Thailand" to "Karon Beach" (wherever that is) all on it's own. Also my signature doesn't show.

The forum software does it automatically as your post count climbs. The name under your nic is used by the software to parse each member within the member database.

Your signature, "Between adventure and safety, I choose adventure", only shows if your post is a few lines long. Can't remember how long but somewhere around 40 characters.

Gonna test the software with 40 words. Here goes: eemie meenie moe, catch a farang by the toe, if he hollars, let him go, eemie meenie miney moe. Teak Door looks like a nice forum but sure has some goofy ass software. Other forums using the same software do not have such goofy restrictions like a location ONLY after 1,000 posts. What, perchance, is the reasoning behing this most peculiar restriction? Oh well, live and let live, I always say. Well, I don't ALWAYS say it - not constantly. That would be rather goofy - kinda like a certain version of vBulletin. Fingers are getting rather tired now but I really want to see my signature. Wonder how many words I have typed now? Betcha it's well over 40 - but why take a chance, I always say. Well I don't ALWAYS say it, just once in a blue moon, actually. Wonder of the soft ware counts "eemie" and "meenie" as words. Do the "words" have to be official, English words and are we talking English English or American English. Well, I'm about to end this bit of foolery. So, here goes, I always say. Well ... oh never mind ... Strangest software on earth!

I have 3 posts on this thread, now 4, do you think people are really interested enough in my signature to actually want to see it 4 times in this now 13 post thread, I can't imagine that they do.
