    new around here

Hi just wanted to introduce my self to this forum, I've been living here about 3 yrs now off and on. I work offshore as a construction diver, I'm married to a thai and we have a two year old girl together. We lived in phuket for awhile but when the wife got pregnant we moved up north close to her family (TOO CLOSE ) for me... We opened an internet cafe, and i have bought some land out in the sticks, just haven't figured out what i want to do , we are still pretty young and not sure if we want to live full time in the sticks .. but i have been getting some good ideas on things i might do from this forum..

Welcome. I've been living here, on and off, for about 10 years.

Thanks, it's nice to read ppl stories here, for awhile i though i was becoming too judgmental of local thai's and there way of thinking/living , but i can see i'm not alone here... there are only a couple of westerners that live in my town.. but other than that i really enjoy the north..

Welcome JIC13 to the fourm. Looking forward to you contributions to the discussions. I'm on the Eastern Seaboard in Rayong Prov not far from the ocean and close enough to Patters to get there in 35 min if need be. In Laws in BKK and we are intentionally somewhat removed from them as far as distance goes. Recommend same. Ciao!

Stay up country to long and you'll start to talk to yourself, dribble and drink household cleaning fluids...

...ERR wait, you said you were an offshore diver - you already do the above..

    Welcome.
