Thread: Hello

Just thought I'd say hello, have lived in Samui for 2 years and have looked at this forum a few times - had a deeper read last night and found it refreshingly open and humorous, as opposed to my experience reading the 'other' English language Thailand based forum - am sure you know which one I mean! Much better set of emoticons!

Hi,

I stay very close to Choeng Mon - stayed in Chaweng for 6 months and Big Buddha end of Plai Laem for a year but I like it here most because it's relatively chilled, nice locals, good and inexpensive restaurants and a short hop to Chaweng if need be.

How about yourself - are you on Samui too?

Choeng Mon, very nice.

Used to live in Samui but moved away 3 years ago..

Greetings rowdy. I lived on Samui for about six months, great place but I much prefer the middle of the countryside. Have they finished mending the drains in Maenam yet?

and the rest of the island for that matter. Last time I was there people were rowing down Chaweng high street.
