    Smile a quick hello

Hiya i just thought this is as better place as any to introduce myself. I am 26 and have visited and lived in Thailand over the past few years. When i did live there for an extended amount of time i was a pro muay thai boxer. I have a Thai missus, shes a student and it was more of an accidental meeting. I didn't plan to get a girlfriend in BKK but these thngs happen. We visit eachother very often and i have never had a problem with the visa process. We own a farm in my girlfriends village and it does quite well profit wise, i am hoping to build a house there also next year.

Laugh all you want boys but fingers in pies is how money is made. I initially thought the farm would be a weird idea but it works.

No ridicule from me. If you are making money from farming, particularly if you are running things from Brum, I'm genuinely impressed. I'd like to hear more in due course.

The farm i run is a pig farm, i check the money side and my missus the labour side as she can visit on the weekends. We purchase pigs as "babies" and after three months of feeding them we sell them onto a BKK slaughter house. Its ran quite simple and is a one man opperation, he is a family member so labour costs are kept quite low.

He is right. Open a pie shop and then go to all the other pie shops and stick your mitts in their stock.

Sounds like another budding Bangkok Phil....

It is very difficult to bbq an entire, adult pig on a spit, that's why suckling pigs are preferred.

Are you freelance or contracted to CP or one of the other aggro companies? The Big aggro companies have been pushing pig farming big time since the outbrake of bird flu.
A guy up the road has one but raises the babies for selling. He just keeps mature sows and gets paid for the babies, I think after 3 months. How old do you get your at?

Yes for the large ones you splay the pig out with bamboo sticks and just turn it every so often.
