    greetings and info

Hi all, newbie to forum but not to Thailand or to teaching.
Spent 2 months a year in LOS whilst living for 20 years in Italy. British, BA and Celta plus 15 years of own school and biz traing consultancy. Now want to bugger off (same old story) due to divorce and selling biz(for a big loss, basically bankrupt,ok not Italian but near as damn it), and have some fun...47 yrs old and feel 18.
I am a specialist in biz courses and TOEFL and wondered how corporate work is in BKK. Doubt many will give me detailed answers, corp work is well protected in every country but some idea. Not too worried about present PAD offensive...seen it too many times, Thais too rich now (OK maybe not in ISSAN, but better than a decade ago) to bollocks things up.
Any group therapy sessions around for posters?, Hate getting pissed alone.....where can I break the old drinking gland in with the like-minded,
nought against the younger back-packer brethren but employed enough of them (qualified though..no alternative in eyetie land) to understand I am of a different generation...give me Bowie, Jazz and meaningful discourse every time

    Errr, hello.
You do realise that this isn't a "teaching" forum, don't you?

Still, never mind. Welcome and enjoy.

    Where will you be based?

    Yeh, sorry
    I'll repost
but in answer probably Kan-buri or BKK, but find BKK harder to stomach as I get older, I'd like to say Koh Samui or Phuket, but so would all 5 million of those who have ever visited.

Not sure that is the case anymore, too many thieves and mafia, have you been to either place recently?

Welcome to the Teak Door, pull up a chair and have a look around the threads. Might get some help if you post that question on the teaching in Thailand forum.

G'day Lodo and welcome aboard. This place has posters of all ages, experiences, and political persuasions. We've got drunks and teetotallers, athiests, agnostics, heathens, and true believers. You'll get yourself an argument/debate/slanging match on just about any topic you can come up with. The only common denominator is Thailand.

Deja vu! Shit...something's happening, it's like an echo. I could swear I've read this somewhere before.

Welcome, lodo. Hope the new life exceeds the old life.

Last time, KS in May. Only saw one beating, was more hassled in bars by property salesmen, must be getting desperate. There are empty villas everywhere, heading a cropper IMO

you may want to rethink that lodo, the attitude of the locals in the heavy tourist areas can be a daily downer. both places low on my list
