    Native Here...

    Hi All,

I'm glad to be here. I'm a native born white American of Western European descent. Fourth generation of American in my blood. Four years of U.S. military experience (and four years Reserves).

Proud of my ancestry, proud of my nation, and proud of myself.

I don't claim to be a Great American Hero. For now, I have left my avatar blank. I would like to include American traditions that have been made heroic, cultural and traditional of the American lore. Would also like to include famous American people who are known the world over.

In short, my threads will likely be about America, and my slant will always be towards American favor and dominance in politics.

I must excuse myself because I am learning that there is more violence in my workplaces back home due to our decreasing status in the world. Sure, we're still the number one power, but Hell, we're stepping backwards a bit.

I don't think it will be for long though.

All Brits, Kiwis, Aussies, Canucks, and all the other beautiful people of the world (along with Native Born Americans of course), feel free to post on this thread.

Thanks, and may Santa bring you all kinds of great gifts if you don't believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Hi Boonmee. Thanks for the kind welcome. Much appreciated. It's hard being a white Protestant American native nowadays in the world. Maybe it's because that's what Bush is.

Hmmm...well, anyways...when I think of American I think Star Trek, apple pie and Taco Bell. Not really much into the dirty politics.

    All night diners too.

As for your question as to where I'm from...that's shhhhhhhh!! for now.

    Bless you Thetyim.

    Fantastic, a great addition.

I log onto a Thai forum every day to read about america but sadly not enough people contribute.

You'll be a hero here before long I can feel it in my water.

    I agree.
We need more spiritual guidance here to keep us on the straight and narrow.
I wonder if GAH would like to start up a new Hallelujah section

Hi Smeden. Thanks for the welcome. Actually my ancestors hail from the mighty Vikings of Denmark and the pre-Nazi era Germany. I had nothing to do with Nazism...honest. My family was outta there back in the 1800's...came in to blessed America about 100 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which made us free from the tyrannical Britain forever.

So I come from strong blood. The Vikings were no pu**sies, believe me. Hunter gatherers with horn tipped steel caps. You should be proud Smeden.

I got stuck in America going to Taco Bell and losing my European heritage. But it still remains with me in the form of my faith. I still practice my God-given and birthright faith, carried on from the generations before me - the Lutheran denomination of the Protestant movement.

Nothing's better than a tiny glass of wine on a Sunday morning, with a piece of bread to remember the Body of Christ, along with a bunch of brothers and sisters in the Lord.

    Cool.

Actually I had nothing to do with the slaughtering of Indians and putting them onto tax-free reservations. No, we worked mainly in offices and on farms after all that bloody stuff.

If you want to know the God honest truth. I am quite fond of a Native Canadian tribe that does something called potlatch. Would you believe that these guys...their highest honor is to throw a big party for the good of their tribal community? They consider it to be a manly thing to give so much that they go into debt (like $20,000 comparitively). They give away food and rice, etc.

If that isn't real giving, I don't know what it...kind of like Jesus stuff, ya know.

If you're serious, I could offer to do something like that. After all, God is not about religion, He is about love. Period.

What's with all the smiting and smoting of people then? Sounds like a right nasty and vindictive wanker to me.

Perhaps a daily prayer and blessing. Sort of "Thought for the Day" type thing ?
