    Greetings from Loombucket

Hello everyone. Please excuse me for posting before I introduced myself to you. I am sure you know how it is, when you open your big trap before you have shooken hands....

Born in London, England, in the fifties. Secondary school ed. Started as an apprentice Mechanic and have been taking things apart ever since. Sometimes, they work again. Married once, divorced once, no children of my own. Came to Thailand about four years ago and fell in love with most of it.

Loves.. Chidren, roses, singing and doing-it-myself.

Hates..Football, politix and rude people with no manners.

Used to be self confessed Health and Safety geek and chocolate addict, now grown up a bit and looking for that little bit of land for a small house, a large garden and a lake/pond thing.

Currently in England looking after the surviving aged parent and hoping to be back in the land of smiles after Christmas. There are many wonderfull stories, on this site, and I look forward to posting my own in due course.

    Cheers!

Thank you folks. Loombucket is an old alias but A Traveler has me sussed. I remember listening to Keneth Horne with my Father many moons ago. That was quality time we used to spend together, sat around the radio in the old kitchen. Every week, the cast would take the micky out of some popular movie. One time it was the turn of the Admirable Crighton.

This old black & white, was set in London. I am a little vague on the time period. Crighton was the butler, in charge of the servants, in a large house. Everything he does is most correct. At some point, the whole household takes a holliday, by boat. They get shipwrecked on a dessert Isle. Crighton is the only person who has a clue how to survive, and, after a few months, finds himself in charge. They make wooden huts, have a complicated system for making clean water and the man they now call 'Gov' is in line to marry the stunning daughter of the house. It is a great English movie and you should check it out.

Needless to say, after Kenneth Horne got hold of it, it became the Admirable Loom bucket. It was not as easy to remember as 'Radio Balls Pond Road', but who needs that for a handle?

Born in Hackney, Thetyim, moved to Palmers Green when I was three.

    Thanks for welcome everyone,
    Cheers

Hackney was probably a much nicer place then.

Somewhere between Korat and Chiyaphum would be nice. Away from the madding crowd.

Thanks JG. I've just about got the hang of this. A comprehensive study of the 'posting pictures' file will enable me to begin my own story.

    Cheers

I think closer to Chiyaphum than Korat would be more enjoyable. IMHO, much prettier and certainly away from the madding crowd
