A full bio you say...well:
Relevent bits: Spent some time in Isaan during early-mid 90s lining up a pilot project for Automated Meter Reading, Load Shedding, etc... with EGAT. Just when the vein was ready to be mined, the '97 currency crisis unfolds. Have had to work for a living ever since.

Irrelevent bits: Finally found a Thai restaurant an hour away that serves good Pla Manau (sp?), the waitress there has the hots for me (and me for her), but she is married, to a man that brings her to the US each year for a few months, AND EXPECTS HER TO EARN MONEY WAITRESSING! (hopefully no one from TD).

Irreverent bits: When travelling, generally tell people I am Canadian. Saves a lot of misery.

Don't think so. Certainly not an alias of mine, as I am a Thailand forums/boards virgin. Found TD by accident looking for some travel info for an upcoming family get-together, possibly in Thailand.

Don't know (or care ) about all-time best, but Joe Montana and Steve Young were certainly good local boys.

Umm... w.r.t. telling folks I am Canadian, it used to be that saying you were from California exempted one from general anti-Yankism.

But these days....well, ...

Never thought of claiming to be Welsh; but I do have a "Rhodesian" passport I rcvd as a gag gift many years ago. Actually used it once, in Chiang Rai, when I had to leave my "passport" at the bicycle rental shop.

^ I can't get squat stuck in Thailand. Actually, I could join that NFL.com online service and pay something like $200 for the season, but my team will have to start playing better. BTW, if you want to know my team, its the only with the hall of fame QB that you and I love so much. Had season tickets a few years and saw him play dozens of times. Inspirational!

I love the Dallas Cowboys. Know why? Coz our Edmonton Eskimos black QB was picked up by them...
