First day - first post

Hi everyone, I'm new of course. I was looking on the net and found this site so I thought I would give it a try. It seems that there might be a bit more freedom here than at some of the other Thai forums. I'll just have to see what it's like.

Anyways, I've been lost out here in Asia for almost 14 years now working as a teacher. For the most part, life out here has been pretty good. I have a wife and three kids, two of which are stepdaughters. I care a lot about Thailand but of course at times the place drives me nuts. I'm not tied to the left or on the right on issues but I'm probably a bit more left leaning more of the time. I work in Pratumthani at the moment. I like to go visit the city when i have free time but actually I don't really like living near Bangkok. It just has too many people, too many problems, too much pollution, and too much traffic. I will move away next year. I just need a change.

Well, I hope that I can add to the conversations here.

I did go to one once, so that is my superior knowledge. I then realized I was irrevocably powerless against alcohol and internet forums.

They have them here in Pattaya aswell, not sure where they meet but I assume the premises must be huge

I do have connections to Rattanaburi. My wife and kids live there. I work in Pratumthani.
