    g,day to all looks like i fellthrough the right door this time!! only recently found TD and realyy enjoying the banter.. hope to contribute some of my thai misadventures too ...including don,t upset the lovely beachroad ladies!!!

    happy to inform you all that i am a proud aussie..from the beautiful sunshine coast..thats south east queensland..where we have just had our drought breaking rains..well nearly..hope that does,nt put o many off..if it does

    Sorry. I now understand why you ask about ones nationality. I'm originally from the West Midlands but I've been on the move somewhat since then.
    I was in the army stationed in Malaya at the end of the Vietnam war, but thats another story. We were accompanied by Aussie and New Zealanders. The New Zealanders told us to stay away from the Aussies cause they're thick as shit. Hence the reason why Aussie soldiers wear bush hat brims up on one side. Ask them a question and then tell them the answer and they had a tendancy to slap the side of their heads and say "why didn't I think of that ?" It's only a New Zealand joke I'm just repeating it

    great story old boy.. truth be told though.. it was when arms were carried at shoulder so it did,nt effect the brim of the hat..as an ex military man of course you new that!! bloody kiwis.. gotta say it though they make good mates!
