I think you should know better, mate. What you posted would probably be taken as an insult and simply cannot be permitted on a Thai based forum. Despite what the Thai government says, if we got a reputation for allowing insulting posts against the Royals we would probably be blocked in Thailand, which would mean I would have nothing to do all day.

    Thank you.
    Have to agree.

Funny isn't it though as mentioned often before, farangs who like to big it saying "my wife is thai chinese" as if that was somehow better than being thai.

Sorry but being the initiater of this tread I feel I need to put something straight. The quote that I put was genuine, I actually wrote it down but failed to put it's source. As for as the said speech it just depended on who's translation you read.
If "buad hair" has read all the translation scripts then I would have thought he'd be still reading now, So being as he cannot come up with a definate quote to prove I'm wrong, and show that example, then back off. The only quote that's applicable here is "There will be NO FLAMING, NO ABUSE OR ANY NASTINESS TOLERATED IN THIS SECTION". I feel in this thread that this quote isn't being adhered to.Excuse the cartoon attachment but I can't delete it. Thanks
PS Try looking at the Scotsman-International date Monday 5 December 2005. It has an edited, but good brief translation. But this isn't the source I quoted from. Also "extras" is correct and I thank him for his support.

I do seem to recall the King saying something similar to what you quoted. However, even if the King welcomes criticism and thinks the Les Majeste laws are outdated does not protect you (or in this case, this forum) from legal percussions. I think many people agree with the King and agrees that there should be some changes, but in this case, it is not wise to be breaking new ground - especially not if you are a foreigner.

The LM law in Thailand is a very powerfull tool, widely abused and a very effective way to shut down a political or commercial competitor.
Any error in tact, fact or spelling is purely due to transmissional errors...

I've never even heard of Thailandqa before too. And I have been banned from TV.

    And I'll survive.
