Are you gay?
Honda CB600FA EvilBlack, looks like a wonderful machine.
!938 Brough Superor please!
BSA Goldstar.
Had to Googleise coz I've never heard about it. Very nice piece of mechanic.
More detailed pics here: Howstuffworks "1938 Brough Superior SS 100 Pictures"
Raced them,350 and 500cc in Norton featherbed frames- much to the disgust of my employers at the time!
BSA Motorcycles, Armoury Road , Birmingham - who employed me as test bed engineer for - you have guessed it - Gold Star engines !!!
About the best UK production bike engine made - broke my heart when they stopped production and I had to dismantle the test beds.
Left UK shortly after probably due to the decline in UK engineering development !
vincent black lightning, preferably in an egli frame.
of the more "modern" bikes, i would have to say the britten would be first choice.
could settle for an old ducati 750ss, and i still have a very soft spot for knucklehead harleys. other rigid-framed harleys give me a tingle, too.
How about one of these beauties
or this one?
This one,,
Imagine dodging traffic in Thailand on that thing, it’s car sized!
A friend of mine in the UK owns one of these
It has never seen rain and is in mint condition. For an old bike the handling is amazing. Pure engineering genius, a shame they don't have electricians in Italy though.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R would be just about right.
This one is the dream machine.
I had an AJS and was in Indian/AJS in sacto in 1953 to get a part, and they had a Bonnieville Chief 80 on the floor, was the most beautiful machine I had ever saw, I told them that I didn't think they could ever build a more beautiful motorcycle, no matter how hard they tried.
I would have bought that sucker, but who ever had or ever would have $1.800 US dollars to spend on a motorcycle..... haha
Notice anything wrong with the one in the pic???
Coulda bought a brand new Caddie for that in '53.Originally Posted by blackgang
Not really, Ford was about that in 1951.. I think my dad paid damn near that for a 2 door, flathead 6.
I just wish I had my Hondamatic 400/4 again. It was ideal for Thailand.
Failing that, another cry from the past, my Norton Commando.
For Thailand ? a BSA 440 Enduro - totally unsophisicated - built like a brick shithouse - and would climb up a brick wall if asked .
Didnt have company cars at BSA just choose a bike !
My BSA Golden Flash that I drove 50 years ago.
