PP says it pretty well, each person has his own style and temper, I enjoy riding a big cruiser as well, but not all the time, my heart are still with the sports-bikes, so until I can affort two bikes, then there will be a speed-monster in my garage..Originally Posted by blackgang

^ Or maybe not...
Gotta agree with this, I was riding to the Aran bike week on the Blackbird and about 7 guys came wafting past me on Beemers........ I was doing about 180 kmh at the time. They were all 2 up and those things looked like they were glued to the road.Originally Posted by peterpan

I used to own a BMW R90S quite a few years ago and it was a really smooth ride. I couldn't hit 5th gear unless I was doing close to 80mph but still a great bike.
Haha, you bloody great ponce!Originally Posted by Texpat

I just bought a cute little Red/White Yamaha Fino for the gf. I haven't ridden it yet, but she tells me the farangs are whistling at her on it.
Wonder if they'll whistle at me if I ride it?
If one laughs hard enough that air is forced out the nostrils at great volume it can often sound like a whistle. You bloody great ponce!Originally Posted by chinthee

I had a 1976 Daytona orange model for a long time. I put many miles on that bike. San Diego-Chicago, Lethbridge-Brownsville and in between.
I'd ride all over NM on the dirt roads. It would eat up highway @100mph all day long not even breathing hard.
I leaded the handlebars and had a Mike Cordin seat. I was comfy for all day rides.
My current R1100GS is the best bike I've ever owned and all the bike I'd ever want.
ME, mine was the silver smoke, such a smooth machine.
My first street bike was a honda silverwing, I was 14 and the bike was perfect for me at the time. fully dressed bike with a stereo
well there was the moped before thatI would get it going so fast down the hills in california I thought the front end would shake off!!!!
My very first 2 wheeler with an engine was a Powell, I was about 12 and then the Indian next.
hell-- I forgot about the honda 400 twinstar-- that was my first bike but only had it for a couple of months before upgrading
damn--must be getting old--the memory is starting to go![]()
