Thread: Volvo Floor Trays

Thanks to PaleXXXX for reminding me.

I used to own a Volvo 240 and it had semi rigid floor trays for all four seats. They had a high lip all around so if you lifted them out all the crap stayed on the trays.
A very simple aid to keeping your pride and joy in good nick. The carpets rarely got wet and didn't suffer wear from grit falling off the traditional style mats.

I am now trying to source a set for a pristine 1999 Volvo S40 2.0T SE, which is about to become my UK based ride.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Local scrap yard.....many a wonder to be found there.

Hey Chas...i knew an Ebay seller in Virginia, many years ago who had access to a junk yard and he used to get his pick of stuff before the cars went in the crusher. He got me headlamp assemblies for my 1981 Oldsmobile and vintage hub caps etc...you might start looking on ebay and find an ebay seller who has a high satisfaction rating. A lot of Americans use Craigslist to buy and sell most anything - both legal and illegal but the trouble there is you can send payment and no guarantee they'll ever send you anything. At least you have some measure of protection on Ebay.

They are such a simple but brilliant idea that I reckon it would be worth getting Loy Toy to do a few hundred samples for top end motors and Knock em out to Hi So Thai punters at a big mark up.

What do you guys reckon to monogrammed floor trays for the Merc or the Beemer?

Cheers Neal. I binned the Volvo when I saw how small the boot was!
On Tuesday I bought a Mondeo 2.0 Tcdi auto and have done enough miles to get an average of 40 mpg plus. Happy with the ride and the heated seats especially.
