Bangkok - Little bit of off-roading

If you head out of BKK on Ramkhangpeng road until it finishes and turn left, then turn right and right again after a sneaky u-turn onto pracha ruam chai road, and then go down that a few clicks till you get to soi maitri 28 and turn left you get to an old quarry

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

Yep near the Korean Intl. School. Been running there a few times and to the lakeside restaurant.

    Oh dear...

Why did you end up getting it over the KLX, Albert?

Also, how is it for road riding/commuting on those tyres?

This and Satonic's (aswellas other) threads are looking like a whole lot of fun. I am kinda leaning towards the D-Tracker because of the road leanings; I will only get one bike; thus I'm wondering of these knobbly tyres ride ok on road/commutes or they are just too errm, not sure?
    Cycling should be banned!!!

The bike is meant for off road, not commuting. If you put a set of street wheels on it though it's cool for commuting.

Hey, is that Kawasaki KLX 250?

I'm currently owning just Kawasaki KSR 100, which is just 111cc and although it has sports like frame, it isn't so flexible and I can't do things that you're doing. And it's also not so powerfull.

I was looking for some dirt bike or pit bike and I really like Kawasaki KLX 250. I even saw that bike in a lot of shops, so it would be easy to buy and get spare parts.

But I found out, that it cost at least 170 000 Baht, which is a lot. Is that true? I also see, that you or your friend own Honda. Would you recommend for me any of these bikes?

    Thanks.

I just got back from a rece for a Hash Run down soi maitri 47. We've done soi 28 and the lake by the Korean school sort of to death. Although we might make it A to B and still use the restaurant?
