Bangkok. BMW Group Thailand announced it has appointed Mr. Markus Johannes Gläseras General Manager and M.L. Kamolchart Pravitra as General Manager Sales, BMW Motorrad Thailand.

With more than 13 years’ experience in BMW Motorrad,Markus (39)had his previous post at BMW Motorrad Germany where he was responsible for BMW Motorrad’s strategic and aftersales operations. Joining BMW Group in 2000, Markus has held leadership roles throughout BMW Motorrad, covering from technical support, service and aftersales. Before joining BMW Motorrad Thailand, Markus held a position asHead of Aftersales Planning and Strategy, responsible for the worldwide development of BMW Motorrad Aftersales operations including strategic development of BMW subsidiaries and importers.

In his new position, Markus is responsible for managing the overall BMW Motorrad Thailand business activities, while M.L. Kamolchart posts as General Manager Sales, responsible for sales activities.

Both Markus and M.L. Kamolchart will help to ensure BMW Motorrad Thailand’s commitment to sales, service and customer satisfaction, andthe kind of services to meet every customer's particular needs at BMW MotorradThailand authorized dealers; BKK Motorcycle, German Auto Bangna, Barcelona Motor Vibhavadi, Nat Bavarian Motor in Udonthani and Barcelona Auto in Chiangmai and Phuket.

BMW Motorrad Thailand achieved its highest year-on-year growth with over 38% in 2013 and 400 vehicles deliveries. The company recently celebrated its first locally assembled BMW F800 R which makes BMW Manufacturing Thailand the only site within global production network that produces vehicles for all three of our brands: BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad. Globally, BMW Motorrad remains strongly on course for success with an increase of 12.9% or 59,151 Motorcycles and Maxi-Scooters sold during the first five months of 2014and a new record for the month of May, driven mainly by the new boxer models R1200 RT and R1200 GS Adventure.
