A flippa nurse rocked up at my gaff this afternoon in one of these 3 skyactivs. Never seen one before but it looked well nice. Gorgeous deep red metallic paint-job. She had gone for a lo-profile 18 inch black rim-job (fnaar!). Looked very good. I even got to drive it a little bit. I got stuck because I have never used a keyless 'start' button before. Massive built in pop-up dashboard GPS.

Got any pics with the black rims ?

Am changing mine but still deciding on colour.

My screen is a decent size but unfortunately it is in a fixed position, would be awesome if it folded flat when you turn the car off.

I did not get a picture. It was saloon, not hatch, and same colour as this (from the net). Wheels looked like this too but hers looked bigger. These look like 17s.

I just assumed it was pop-up due to the size. Maybe it was fixed.

nope, they're fixed. i bought one about 3 weeks ago.

the only thing i don't like about the car is on the screen, it's got a "mecca finder".

imagine the upoar if a mozzie bought a car with a "vatican finder" on it? they would burn down the dealership.

mine is red like this one, looking for black rims with red hi-lites.

I have not seen a "Mecca Finder" om mine. where is it ? (on the screen that it is).

Initially the screens were to fold away into the dashboard when the ignition was turned off but that proved to be sporadic in operation and was put into the too hard/too much cost basket.

Same as being able to dis-able the stupid head up display, the function was there when first released but proved to be very buggy so was deleted with the software versions.

Also the fucking daytime running lights..... my fucking god a ballache to turn off.
Surely a simple fucking switch could have used FFS.

(proceedure is same CX5 and M3)

Mazda are getting a reputation for making very attractive cars which are also very good to drive.
They seem to making the most of the relationship with Ford. Not quite sure how it works but the mazda designers are top notch.
Recall watching a Top gear episode with Clarkson singing the praises of the new Mazda 6.

The Ford/Mazda thing is pretty dead in the water bar some minor collaboration on the Ranger/BT-50 (the whole T6 platform was designed by Ford with Mazda doing their own cosmetic and drivetrain calibration stuff).

That was a trail fit Dillenger. Our dealerships (Mazda City) hold the import rights (into Thailand) for Knightsports Japan.

That bar is not will not remain on my car as a permanent feature.

Don't try to disable it as that is considered an act of apostasy and activates the James Bond exploding ejector seat through the sun roof!

    agree.

if you fiddle with it long enough, you will find it if it's there.

not as complicated as turning off the daytime running lights!
