    Leg room for tall people...utility

    Hi to all..
I am very tall, need lots of legroom, I always have to re bracket drivers seat, moving it back 3 inches.
Looking at purchasing utility next week, always driving Hilux, which after modification its fine.
    ( work supplied vehicle)
Want to change to something else , nothing wrong with Hilux, but as I am paying for it, choice would be good.
Anyone else out there have long legs and drive a Ute (utility)
    Not buying new 2013 , 2012 , 2011 models.

ซื้อขายรถบ้าน รวดเร็ว.ปลอดภัย low kms good choices.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

    Cheers

    Biff

Hi..to all ..returning next Tuesday ...then going North East..to see a man about a dog..
I am 6ft 8 inches...a long drink of water..watch out for the clouds up there, bang your head.
Lots of tall jokes. Only take size 15 shoe though..daughters 6 foot.

Yes , agree about Toyota, been driving them, for 20 years, never had one break down, middle of the desert, way outback beyond the stumps.

Cheers and thanks for the tips.\

Get the 4 door. Take out the drivers seat and sit in back seat when driving. Should work a just fine.

Hi to all, thank you for your contributions for my on going dilemma.

Finished my last day of work in Aussie today , had some spare time, also was near the many Car Yards ( place where new and used motor vehicles sold)

Look at all the usual makes and models..sat in a orange Ford Wildtrack, looks nice.

Came to the conclusion, the most comfortable car is what I am driving, Hilux.
    With seat modifications.
Will be a Hilux Vigo Pre Runner , 2 door model.
Taking my seat extension brackets with me, so don't have to sit in back seat to drive (joke)
    20 minutes to fit.
Also GPS, see other thread, 3 dumb phones, will follow Terry57 suggestion , load maps on at Pantip Plaza IT.

After tomorrow( Saturday) won't be posting for awhile, so thanks to all who have given advice, suggestions, in my various threads.
Work gave me a Ipad and Macbook Pro and access to any Apple software I want.
What software, apart from Photo shop. Good when you are a Linux user..
Anyway it was a gift, so will use it. with great pleasure.

Good for you Biff good luck with your Vigo.

ps I have the 3 & 2.5 litre, if you push them, the 3 litre is better on fuel.
I'm talking driving them hard. not like a wymp in Phuket.

    Hi Ratchaburi,
Fortuner nice vehicle, prefer something more useful.
Need more than a small boot , back of a ute always handy.
Colour not important, to me, just low milage.

    Cheers

    Hi Ratchaburi,
Had one in Thailand before, also drive one daily here.
You are right though, 3 litre only way to go.
If you are sitting on 100kms put the foot down, turbo kicks in, makes a big difference.
Just keep a few hundred baht in glove box.

Cheers and thanks for the advice.

Biff a quick question have you looked at the new price here in Thailnd.
You don't want to buy a pre Flood pickup or any car, pre Flood & the only way is NEW.

    check it out.

    Hi Norton,
Great vehicle F-100 , the F-150 even better , very expensive in Aussie, heaps of room, everywhere.
The one in you picture posted is around $43.000 US starting price.
Must be a good son, all the best things come in big packages.

    Thanks

    Hi Ratchaburi,
Yes , new price around 802.000 baht, second hand starting from 450.000 for 2011 to 2012.
Hilux Vigo Champ new is 515.000 but only 2.5 or 2.7 litre, also its not a extra cab.

Will have time to look next week, know what I want, not rush.

    Thanks

maybe thing have changed as there are many second hand pickups & sedan on the market over the last 12 month, the prices have come down.
when I came here 10+ years ago a 15 year old Hilux set you back 150,000b & a 2 year old was the to the same price new.

    good luck Biff

Hi..Ratchaburi, they have come down , looking at some with only 8000km on clock, good price, compared with new.
I was surprised when started looking, people dumping vehicles, buyers market.
Repayments for Thai people must be hard, on such low wages.

    Thanks

    Biff

Biff I know you know what you are doing, last year many Police pickup & mini vans from the floods hit the market.
I'm talking of driving from Bangkok to Cha Am & seeing hundreds on empty lots.
now how many pickup ,sedans minivans got court in the flood water around Bangkok.

Take care on the second hand.

Hi Norton..never been to Roiet, one of my Thai friends comes from the there, says it nice place.
Not much real estate gets sold , which, to me, indicates the people living there like it.

Will put it on the to do list.

    Thanks

Yes Norton there was noflooding in your area, but many truck to transport what ever pickup you would like.
Last year me & the TGF went out to buy a new car, we have a 6-7 year old Vigo 4x4 they offered 400,000 -450,000,b on a trade.

I did not trade the old Vigo as I still have a few trips to Malaysia to do ( 4 to date) next in Feb.
