Transporting a Motorbike from Phuket to Pattaya.

Am looking at buying a bike from down Phuket, as its a fuckin long drive I would prefer to fly down and buy but would need to get it back here.

I have heard of people using the Thai post office to send scooters but this is not a scooter.

    Any suggestions.

Friend of mine used a courier to move his motorbike from Phrae to Nakhon Si Thammarat
It was cheap and it arrived in one piece.

A missed opportunity to ride it home on the back roads. Take a few days off work and make it into a road trip.

I think you can use the post office to ship smallish motorcycles. Not sure what the size limits are, but 250-400cc enduro bikes are a go. Prices are reasonable for the 150cc bikes.
    Be interesting to find out.

There's a catamaran that goes from Hua Hin to Pattaya, There must be a boat that goes from further down South to Patts

I have an idea, you get Simon 43 or Phuket Richard to ride the bike to Chumphon where Withnallstoke is! He will fill it up with WWJ and hammer it up to Hua Hin to Tax Exile who will motocross it to Cha Am, where I will try to make the jump from Cha Am fishing pier to the parallel pier and take it to Petchaburi, Nevets will then bollock it up to Bangkok, and Butterfly and Bettyboo will have your bike delivered without a scratch and some nice Thai town stickers emblazoned on her. Whaddya reckon?

Just transport it yourself, but be positivley certain that the rear lights are working and that there are no DRUNK drivers on the road.

I used the Post Office to transport my bike from Samui to Ubon, took about 4 days and cost about B1250 if I remember correctly.

Arrived with only one mirror, one slightly scratched panel and as a bonus, an extra 180 kms on the clock.
