While I love the Gallery feature here, the file size limitation causes a little consternation. Most of my pics exceed the size limit.
So I often host my pics with a paid service which automatically adjusts the resolution and sizes the linked photo.
Thought sometimes they seem cranky to load into the thread.

Thanks all for your kind advice, especially Lady Hawke for doing step by step; a computer virus wiped out all my files, so I have nothing to upload at the moment. I will try again later.

Loading pictures on Teakdoor is difficult.

O.K for you that are regularily posting photo but for newbies it's a headache and very confusing.
Why can we not post photos direct to the posts.
Why do all this:Go to gallery
Point cursour at the pic of the house
    menu appears click my gallery
    click create/order album
    click new then apply modifications
Then go back up to the pic of the house click upload file
click browse and add your pic, watch out you load in the right size otherwise it wont load
    scroll down and click continue
    Succsefull upload click continue
    select album/new album continue
Go up to the house pic again ,click my gallery your pics should be there.

When you want to post a new thread open TD, then file, and open a new window in the new window you can copy/paste your pics into the the thread keep both windows open to transfer the pics ,other wise you will loose them.

when you can do this: copy
    paste

or this copy url directly into posts.

I don't understand the logic behind this.

    Obviously you don't understand.
Show me a board where you can "copy and paste" pictures...
And yes, copy the url of the image location and use the 'image' button in the reply box, or image tags to post pictures from the net works fine.

It's pics from your computer, for example, and from sites which don't allow hotlinking, which you have to load into the gallery.

Allowing attachments creates a weak point in a forum, do you think that is a good idea? Should we allow html aswell? we have both options we can allow. We aint going to though.

Yes. Me and quite a few more.
Some people keep saying it's easy to load pictures here.
    Well it's not.
There has to be an easier way to do this or are we all dumb.

It's easy is just that it takes too many clicks

Actually, I'm well known to be a bit computer thick, but for me to upload a photo takes about 3 minutes from camera to computer to Teak door.
    i think that's acceptable.

    Open ACDC
Paste the dot into new file
    Select modify
    Right click new colour
    Select red
    Then Save to 'Marmite'

There are two ways, one for online pics from a website, for whci you right-click on the pic, copy "image location", post it into the reply boxbetween .
The second way, which you can do with pics from the web, but, more importantly, with pics from your com and digital camera, is to upload them into the gallery. - as described. Once you've done it a few times, it gets easier.

Mind you, I still manage to delete files while messing around with the albums, I am not a computer genius either.

Lately when uploading pictures to the gallery have found that I can only upload one or two at a time. Try more and gI get the message 'website not found'. Is there a gliche in the system?

Shouldn't be, there is a limit on size of upload, I think about 1mb, so 10 pics of 150kb aint going to work.

Click on 'Properties' then a small window will pop up, from there copy the address URL and your computer will now remember it, for firefox users just right click and copy the image location. DD - Thanks for the guidance, it helped me set up my album and add photos from my PC. I do one one problem though. When I tried to paste one of my photos into a forum post using the URL I copied from the photo's 'properties', the URL and not the actual photo ended up in the post. What should I do to make sure the actual photo is displayed in my post? Thanks

^ Don't click on the house. Hover the mouse over the house and the menu will appear.
