    Is there any way to...

... to ignore specific threads (i.e. not just the entire forum it's in)?

Bugger. I've developed an irrational loathing of the 'What Did You Have for Lunch' thread - simply fascinating as it is - but quite enjoy the 'Kitchen' forum.

Trouble is on the 'New Posts' view the focking thing keep bumping back up on top [cue: CMN posting on his lunch today...]

I think the "what do you eat thread" is in the games room though and the cooking threads are in the kitchen forum.

    just eliminate the games room.

Well I guess it's kinda tangentially related.

But the very sight of it makes me want to run into a restaurant yelling 'I don't give a flying fock what you fockers had for lunch!!' whilst spraying the place with small-arms fire.

bit like the "what music are you listening to" thread.

    hate that one.

Is it in games or mulimedia?

I have my "what forum does it come from?" function turned off.

all i get is this black page with threads on it.

Yeah, good point actually. That's another that makes me want to detonate targetted thermo-nuclear explosions. Annoying.

The only way i can think of doing it is to use the UserCp and the subscribed threads list. Any thread you reply are automatically subscribed, and you can unsubscribe so they don't show.

I don't think it's a complete solution though. maybe there needs to be a "don't show thread again" button next to each thread.

In your user CP. It prevents sub-forums being shown in your "New Posts' view.

^It doesn't really help when it's threads you want to ignore rather than forums. There are quite a few threads I have no interest in but I still like to read the forums they're in.

That's exactly the issue I have, the 'Lunch' thread in the 'Kitchen' forum being the perfect example. I'm loath to block the entire forum because I quite enjoy seeing the recipie threads and the like.
