Copy/Paste Gifs

A minor annoyance but hoping someone here can help.

I find it near impossible to copy and paste Gifs from the source to another medium. For instance from this forum to Facebook, or from TheChive to a text (SMS), or from a google search to my email, etc.

When I copy and paste it either just pastes a URL link or a static image of the gif.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to properly plagiarize, er, I mean redistribute gifs?

Right click, copy image address, paste (image address/url).

When pasting to the forum, you need to use BB Code Image Tags - that look like this:

[img]https://teakdoor.com/computer-news/computer-news/computer-news/computer-news/.. [/img ]

...but without the spaces.

Do you know how to paste from one source to another? Like a google search of a gif to send as a text for instance?

When I try all I can seem to do is send a URL link, not the actual gif

Download the image to your computer/phone/device first, then send the image from your computer/phone/device.

^I've had mixed results with that. Maybe it's some sort of DRM issue with the gif creator.

To computer never a problem. I would say 25-30% problem when posting from my phone. Ranging from rotated picture, to no image showing, like you only the url.. So I only use my computer for photos.

I never posted GIFs but I have a lot of problems with regular pictures. Some times it works great, some times it only works if after downloading the picture, I wait a couple of minutes before I post it, and sometimes it will not work at all. I think , for me, it might be a problem with the connection from the US to Thailand. I thin k some times the gateway is good, and perhaps some times the gateway ids too busy.
I gave up trying to figure it out.
