Thread: a question to someone how know something about psychatric things

Hello, I looking for someone who can helf me to find an artical in thai language about "Borderline personality disorder" and "self harm". My problem is that I want to explain my fathers wife (who is a thai people) why I do things in the way I do and I want to explain her were the scars on my body come from. I don't really know in witch way i should explain it, that she understands me. So I wantto give her an article in thai about this topic. I hope here is someone how can help me.

Surely a Thai language forum, of which there are several, would be a better place to ask? We don't have many members that read Thai here, but good luck.

On the contrary...I believe we've a number of members whom are competent in comprehending Thai script.

Sontaya, even if she reads an article she may interpret it, in any each way.
1. Get a Thai english person to translate to her directly, then you can
test for understanding etc.
2. Don't bring this sought of problems to any forum, most average
people have enough of there own stuff to sought out. This is unhealthy.

Just tell them you are "Ting Tong Mak Mak!" They will understand.

You could also give them a demonstration of self mutilation by slashing your wrists or perhaps chopping off a pinky or two.

OP you seriously don't want to tell her that you are a nutter, really. Just tell her you were captured in Iraq and tortured or something like that.

Hi Sontaya, your best bet would be to ask a Thai psychiatrist to explain the situation to your relatives. (Are you in Thailand - I think you are - and do you have a Thai doctor?). I would suggest that only the larger private hospitals or the private psychiatric hospital - Manarom Hospital in Bangkok would have doctors who are knowledgable about your illness to advise your relatives.

In any case, if they are rural folk with only primary education, then you may have big problems getting them to understand the nature of your illness.

Get a doctor to explain it for you.

Just posting such a question on here suggests a desire for self-harm, given that on any such board you're bound to find at least a few cowardly infantile sadists anxious to take a cheap shot at someone vulnerable.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend someone here. I have been thinking for a long time if I should ask here for this topic. But this topic is important for me because I don't know what the people around me thinking when they look at me. That make me often feel insecure.
