    Intermittent Fasting (IF)

I am doing IF about 3-4 times per week. Your body does get used to it.

IF and Keto diets are related. This is worth noting.

Dr. Jason Fung whose written 2 books.

I've watched a lot of health / Keto videos blogs and this guy is one of the best, if not the best I've seen: Bob Briggs.

You can do IF and drink beer after you break the fast.

IFing is only a 16 to 20 hour fast.

You wait 4 hours to after getting up and that's 16 hours, depending on when you ate din-din the night before.

But late night brewskies break the fast.

Surely the way to control one's weight is to simply eat less and use sensible portion control.

Also use the 20 min rule where it takes the body 20 mins to realize you have eaten something. So like they do in restaurants eat something small like soup or salad and then wait 20 mins-ish before eating whatever it was you were going to eat. You won't need to eat as much because by then the body will has realized you ate the salad and you need for vast mounts will diminish.

Then add exercise to the routine. Get off public transport one stop before your destination.Going the Paragaon? Get off a Chitlom. Live in the sticks? Take the long walk to the village shop.

    It is not rocket science...
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all

Nothing's wrecked. This thread will live into eternity.

But I agree with you on his hope it was about fisting.

Actually a 2-day water fast is highly recommended before being anally fisted.

    Less.....err....mucky stuff about.

Without the aforementioned fast 4 fist preparatory procedure,
the "inserter" might consider a pair of heavy duty rubber latex gauntlet gloves.

    And a wiffle ball bat.

I once put my cheeseburgers in the blender and set the rotation to puree after an hour of mix. The challenge was, I had produced an oatmeal stout that was so thick, I had to scrape it out of the bucket with a spoon.

It all worked out in the end, so stuff your tip and think of a new sitcom for your troll. Malcom in a muddle is lame.

    This is very good.

The "Starvation Mode" - your body shutting down it's metabolism and using muscle for energy happens after 72 to 90 hours, which is 3 to 4 days.

All the "eat every 2-3 hours" has not been supported by one, single, study.

He notes research from studies (e.g. at the Duke Medical Center).

Just cut out the cigarettes and make sure the other two are in moderate amounts and its fine. I actually have a strong cup of coffee once a day in the morning and a shot of whiskey in the evening (although not every day). But cigarettes, no thanks.

-Oh and the coffee must be fresh, no instant made stuff, instant coffee often has too much sugar, fake creamer, and alot of carcinogens.

Funnily enough, my evil twin bro... I read the same... it was almost as if my deviant mind, naturally concluded it must be 'fisting' rather than 'fasting'... as TD is not exactly play school reading...

Exercising in a fasted state. Da benefits? Tapping into fat store for fuel instead of Glycogen. Carbs are recommended for heavier training and sprinting still, but all of the "load up on carbs for fuel" is now being debunked. Ah, a study says this, and then is debunked by another study.

Max Lowery trained as a competitive sprinter

    13 JUNE 2017

You may think you need food to fuel your workouts, but you are wrong.

Recently, the advice that suggests loading up on carbohydrates before exercise has been called into question. Yes, consuming carbs before exercise can increase performance in certain fields like sprinting and sports that use power movements, but it also stops the body from using stored body fat for energy, which means you are less likely to reap the reported fat burning benefits.

So, if you exercise to stay trim, going 'fasted' is the more effective option.

Over the course of the day you go in and out of fed and fasted states. The fed state lasts for about four to six hours after your last meal, during which time your body releases insulin to lower your blood sugar, proteins and fats are absorbed by the digestive system, and glucose is transported to the muscles to be used as energy (glycogen).

I've spent the past four years training fasted – and three of those were as a competitive sprinter
    Max Lowery

Six hours after eating you enter the fasted state. Glucagon is released to keep your blood sugar at normal levels. Your body starts to break down adipose (fat) tissue into free fatty acids, which can then be converted into a form of energy known as ketone bodies. In layman's terms, you're burning fat for energy.

As soon as you start eating, the process is halted. Insulin now inhibits the breakdown of fatty acids, leading your body to burn the sugars you've just ingested. The fat burning stage is over.

If you think about it, this all makes perfect evolutionary sense. When food wasn’t as readily available as it is today, holding on to stored body fat was crucial for our survival. We evolved to last a long time between meals.

Today, food is in almost constant supply – but our bodies are still physiologically the same as they were tens of thousands of years ago. If we eat all day, we never tap into our bodies’ natural ability to burn stored body fat for energy.

Studies demonstrate that a bout of aerobic exercise performed in the fasted as compared with non-fasted state increases the reliance on fat and subsequently reduces the reliance on carbohydrate as fuel during exercise, with several publications showing that fasted exercise oxidises (burns) around 20-30pc more fat.

If you're exercising to lose weight, it's a no brainer.

Why exercising on an empty stomach is the secret to weight loss

Yup, that's why I go to the gym on an empty stomach...

Fasting (not fisting) is one of the most healthy things you can do for your body/longevity.

The modern mantra of 3 square meals a day, is not how our body operates at its best.

Although recently, I've forced myself to eat a few scoops of natural yogurt, with a few nuts, just so that I can take some fat soluble vitamins (fish oil - flax seed oil)... skip lunch, then a healthy (low-carb) dinner.
