Weight saving.
Every 1/100eredth of a second counts when you get to this level.
New saddle, tube and tire fitted for yesterday's icle.
While nice and soft on the ol' dairy-air, unfortunately the rake of the saddle was putting extra uncomfortable stress on me hands, wrists and delts.
The upside was the pleasurable pressure on me labia and clitoral hood.
The options were to accept the extra pressure on ze wrists and delts, and the multiple squirting orgasms. Or adjust it to normal.
Went with the dryball option.
And knocked 7 minutes off me time thanks to the correct posture.
Will take that.
After 40km 5 days in a row, Edith wanted a Saturday morning ride, Ooer.
30km to round off a 6 day week.
Kitted out.
Officially a ̶M̶A̶M̶I̶L̶ YOMIL.![]()
Bogon Tip #842
Zip down (unless you like it touching your Adam's apple) and hands out of your pockets if you want to be taken seriously.
More Dale Winton than Daley Thompsan with that pose.
Well done with the 40km BTW.
Proud of you.
40.4km in 1hr44m.
Edustry standard.
Before, would have a wee peanut bar or NRG snack at the turn around point, now, no need, and only drink about 1/3rd of me liter bottle of water.
Fitness and fitter.
There's really no need for a 'strict diet'.
Strict diets usually fail.
IIRC pretty much everything you've tried over the last decade has failed, in terms of losing weight and keeping it off, as they have been strict that, completely cutout this, etc etc.
I'm sure it's been said before:
Burn more calories than you take in, by upping daily activities, reducing potion sizes.
Helpful hints: Don't completely cut out anything (besides alcohol) minimize sugar intake, lower carbs, rational portion sizes of meat, veg and small amount of stodge (rice/potato/pasta).
But of course I might as well be talking to the beanbag that's next to me.![]()
^yeah, thanks Edmond. I do know all of what you are saying. My unhealthy relationship with food, well .. I can write a book about.. However, when I say 'strict', cutting out or down on sugar is a huge step for me. Sugar is an addiction, which the more you eat the more you need. So, not eating sugar or little of it is a good thing for me and one I need to go cold turkey on. Also, when I went vegan and plant based, I thought it was healthy which it was at first, but then I started eating too many unhealthy carbs like frozen pizzas and junk food (chips etc), and then Xmas came and went and I gained like 15 pounds. Now, I am eating lower carb (under 100 grams a day) , and just doing what I did to lose weight in the past. Wish me luck!![]()
The RDA of sugar for an adult female is around 25g, 6 teaspoons per day. As the labels of many processed 330ml drinks show, they contain 16g. 4 teaspoons of sugar in one drink.
Cold turkey will likely fail. I would stick to keeping it around the RDA, and upping daily exercise. As well as the others listed above. Rational portion sizes of meat, veg, small amount of stodge.
While burning more calories than taking in.
Good luck.
Yup, good points for sure. I don't drink my sugar, I mostly drink water/tea and coffee. It is the odd binge of junk food where I get too much salt or sugar, but I am doing much better on that these days. Day 3 and having withdrawal from sugar and too many calories/carbs.. after Day 4 im usually good as I get into ketosis from the lower carb intake, then it is mostly smooth sailing. I am doing this weigh in once a week thing with a guy friend I have on fb that lives in the USA. We talk and compare notes and motivate each other.
Joe, Hal and Reg are welcome to join.. lets weigh in once a week, see how much you've lost with all the healthy eating and exercise. Up to you! Also take your inches with a measuring tape as the scale doesn't tell all!!
Try a fruit, choc off
Salad in Pizza off
Tuna with no oil in leaf in Beef jerk off
I drink water and unsugared esspress in day, all offset by wine at night and too many spirits rich food over the holidays.
I no longer bring cakes and cookie home, but occasionally have a snack bar from 7-11 on the road
Good luck and as I've saidn before ignore the knockers.
^Good tips, David, tank ya. I think a new thread is due!
Up at 8.30 and off to the gym for a sesh on the treadmill followed by a sauna.
A pitiful 4km in 30 minutes was all I could muster.
I'm as unfit as I've been at any time in the last 20 years.
So, I've had a 200 quid bet with my missus that I can stay of the amber nectar for 6 weeks.
This is serious now.![]()
^Hey at least it is a start making look into the couch to 5km program, builds up your endurance. Good luck on the no drinking. Gets easier after a week or two!
Now that money is involved, you got this!
That depends if I pay up or not.
That's a bit extreme! I exercise every day, but I've just not been to the gym regularly for 3 or 4 months. I expect to be back to my usual 5k in 30-35 in about 2 weeks or so.
Suppose so. Just felt a bit weird struggling to get to that number when I can almost always run a steady 5km in no more than 35 when I'm in the groove.
I use 5 minutes per km or 8 minute miles as my benchmark. Any slower than that and I'm out of shape.
