Let your body and mind get used to the increased distance before increasing again.
I did 50 today, so 600 metres. I'll stay with this for a week or so before increasing again.

To be honest if it wasn't for the time constraints in the morning I reckon I could just go on indefinitely, a bit like Forrest Gump.

Once I'm into the routine of the lengths I like to plan out the day ahead. It's one time when I can't be disturbed.

I've yet to see this 'swimmer's body' but I guess it's only time.

Two problems I can foresee... one is just keeping count of the lengths while I'm 'thinking' about other stuff. The other is water temperature. It's already down to 26 degrees which is quite bracing to jump in to, but OK once I get going. I think it'll go down to 22 or 23 this winter which could be a challenge.
