Indeed, that Pyg trail is a good scramble for the last hour.
Unfortunately it's thick snow and ice at the moment.

Had a reasonable 2 hour mountain bike ride along the Trans Pennine Canal today, bit boggy and knackering.

BTW sterling effort slaps, I cured my calf niggle with turmeric.

Niggling injuries in amateur athletes are best cured by rest. The older you are, the longer the rest you need.
Take care, because the work you have put in, can give a false sense of efficiency, when you start back after resting.

I just had a forced break of 4 days traveling, then got lazy on my return and skipped a few more days. I started back with a gentle swim, then a short bike ride. About 30 minutes each.
I have deliberately avoided the gym for two reasons. It’s flocking hard work and it’s also the place I get weighed.

Yesterday a long ride on the bike where most of the hills are up. Today a hard 40 minute session in the gym, mostly upper body.
Almost no weight gain despite pigging out in singers for 4 days, food and beer.

If the weather is fine I would prefer to swim tomorrow, but I will probably do another long haul bike ride, because it gives the best buzz.
