    Given that any decent policy worth anything and not limited unreasonably to ceilings well below what can be charged by private Thai hospitals costs around the £2000 for a middle aged person resident in Thailand, in good health with no adverse history, I am quite surprised people think they can insure properly for less.

    Anyone over 60 or with pre- existing conditions is looking at annual premiums pf up to £4000.
