The pies look tasty Prince and the mash looks fine as well... the peas, any sort of peas and lima beans also would ruin the meal for me. give me brussel sprouts, coliflower, brocolie or almost anything other than peas and lima beans.

the store bought pie shells are fine and where some are not puffy pastry fans for pies, I like the puffy pastry for pies and find them to be a nice change. Mrs LT uses the puffy pastry and those are just out of this world.

    happy pie making....

Thanks mate and yes they are.

In fact I could not imagine eating and enjoying a pie that didn't have a puff pastry lid.

Those English pork pies with the thick pastry are OK but then again you normally eat them cold.

It depends which ones you buy some are shite I agree with you and it's the wrong pastry.

Myself I like the Melton Mowbry or Marks and Sparks

I've never tried one hot, wouldn't all the gelatin melt?

Here is my effort this morning:

Made with the device on the right, Breville pastry creations, It does a reasonable job except that I over filled the pastry cases and Had too much flour on the pastry hence the blotchy appearance.

Quick and easy tho', took me less that 15 minutes including the baking.

    ^ Looks OK mate.

Is the machine available in Thailand or only in NZ?

How much for this Breville unit?

Not seen in Thailand, brought it at Myers in Gold coast, think it was 50 bucks at their discount store.

^ I used to make thermo-set plastic parts for them and the onces they put on their first sandwich toaster they marketed about 30 odd years ago.

In fact I think we got about 4 of the fookers as wedding gifts.

That pie machine could open up a whole new world of late night drunken cooking. Move over Brevile sandwhich maker.

The guys at brevile must all be piss heads.
