Oh, for Gawd's sake, leave the poor bloke alone. Especially those of you that wouldn't know one end of a ladle from another, let alone what it was used for!
Artisan, don't think you're going to get much joy re child menus here mainly because Thai food (as said before by others) is ordered in many dishes and everybody eats a small amount of a large amount of things. I think kiddy menus (unless in fast food joints) are considered a Western extravagance and hence only catered for by Western hotels etc.
If you ever do find a kid friendly restaurant or get a home with a kitchen, a tip for veggie hating kids is to puree the veggies in a blender before adding them to soups, bolognese sauce, chillis, stews, whatever. Tried and tested successfully on a very big kid - my ex! My littl'un loves veggies & salads, luckily, so no problems with him (hates spicy food, though )
