    2) Finding out that they microwave many of the non-fried dishes
actually i never had a problem with their service here !?

and i pretty much order all the fried food ! ... in fact apart from the stricky rice and mango dessert what food do they serve that is NOT fried ??

so cheers! I'll keep eating there happy to not see u.

    Another positive report:

A sexy and friendly inlaw works in the restaurant at Pha Chu, Si Nan national park, ask for Ni, mention you know lung farang and good service is guaranteed. The food is not bad, considering it's the only eatery within a 20 miles radius.
Her hubby is a ranger there, so keep your hands to yourself.

    McDonalds.

The food is fucking muck that will kill you a lot faster than you'd die ordinarily (see Supersize Me).

Yes, in a way. I was talking about every single one in every single county in the world, and that would include the Ekami Cineplex.

It wasn't Fulay. It was another joint. The service was shite and so was the breakfast. We were actually looking for a place run by the Hilton, but couldn't find it (we didn't look very hard admittedly).

Who? expats or Thais? There's a very select elite of either of those I'd want to be seen with.

I'm pondering my next visit to a potentially overrated eating establishment.

None of my recommendations are 'overrated', got to see it in perspective. "Local" teachers, Amphoe admins, police captains and their buddies, Pat, no real high-flyers like Smeg. Good enough for me.
No more harrassment for driving without helmet, the lesser beings wai-ing me after they've seen me there etc. - goodness, I start to sound like a right prat!

I should share my adventures with the local addicts to balance this out.

To repeat your words: Be patient, man.
This is a sensitive subject, and I don't want to collect any more anonymous "wanker" etc. repo points right now.

Sorry, I am a bit of a chicken at times.

Funny, my first thought was that that's exactly what you do.
So I'm not invited round for tea then?
Beside the fact that I don't drink tea and knowing that you even come uninvited, you can come for a beer but try creating a scene.

Try Tokai on Soi 23...All you can eat for 390...Not a buffet, you can order at table, though only one dish at a time. Not great, but, considering how much Japanese usually costs, cheap...

Well considering my bill at Kobune Japanese restaurant was only 140 Baht yesterday, I find it hard to be tempted..

Pai: the nice looking mexican place on the main road, terrible food. Quesadillas without cheese!!! The only saving grace was their beer was nice and cold. There is a burger place opposite chez swan that serves possibly the worlds best pork chop!

    ChaAm: DaVinci's. absolutely hopeless!
there is a very nice scandanavian restaurant a few doors to the south. They cook a great steak.

Bukhara's has the best Indian food in Thailand after Rang Mahal. I wish they'd open a branch in Pattaya.
I've eaten there many times. Never had a problem either. Always treated nicely. WTF!

I won't comment on that kind of "food" because I already got some red points recently.
