    Dubai chocolate, what's the go?

I've been hearing about this Dubai chocolate but never tried it and today I was in my regular supermarket and I saw a notice stuck to the till. If you Want Dubai chocolate please inform the cashier. Wtf?they don't put it on the shelf with the other chocolate but keep it locked up? So I decided to google it for more info . Here's what I found out.
Dubai chocolate is a chocolate bar made with a filling of khadayiv and pistachio it was created by emeratti fix chocolate in Dubai in 2024.
I'm fucking keen to try it but it ain't cheap. I really struggle to understand how a bunch of Arabs can make better chocolate than say, the Belgians, the Swiss. Aussies, hmm. Maybe Dr willy can buy a bar or 2 on test it out on his kids and Mrs while he's in Dubai? Get a receipt and write it off as expenses?
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.

Swenson’s had a Dubai chocolate special a few weeks back. The chocolate and pistachio combo was nice.

Hadn’t realized it was a thing.

We hunt them here using rubber bullets
4 of them. The wheels of the tojo. no need a gun. Just run Skippy over when he pops out of the scrub dazzled by the spotty. Bloody good tucker. Perfect with Koala Gravy

Why is Dubai chocolate so expensive?

    AI Overview

Dubai chocolate is expensive due to a combination of factors, including the use of high-quality, often imported, ingredients, the artisanal, labor-intensive production process, and its popularity fueled by social media, which drives up demand and perceived exclusivity.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

    Premium Ingredients:
Dubai chocolate often features high-quality Belgian or Swiss milk chocolate, alongside premium ingredients like hand-picked pistachios, knafeh (a shredded pastry), and sometimes even edible gold, according to BBC News and TryAladdin.com.

    Artisanal Production:
The chocolate is typically handmade, with a focus on detail and quality, which increases production time and costs compared to mass-produced chocolate.

    Social Media Hype:
The chocolate's popularity surged on platforms like TikTok, creating a viral trend and driving up demand, especially for the original Dubai-based brand, says Euronews.com.

    Exclusivity:
The original Dubai chocolate is primarily sold within the UAE, and even inspired versions tend to be produced in limited quantities, adding to their perceived value and price.

    Overseas Shipping:
When sold internationally, shipping and storage costs for the chocolate, which requires specific temperature control, further contribute to the high price.
tried it last time we transited the airport in dubai. the emirates lounge had loads of it.

its not bad, but i wouldnt pay the silly prices being asked for it in the stores. the fact that it is heavily promoted by the silly dubai tik tock "influencer" crowd is also a big red flag for me.

personally i prefer this old favourite.

Hmm, seems to me my old fave Cadbury always advertised as a " glass and a half" I hope they still do that? Or did the glass get smaller? Nought wrong with Cadbury choc in Oz by the way..but it can lead to a gout attack in my case so I don't eat much of it.

Yeah, I bought some Dubai chocolate for the missus last time. It was ok but not that’s special. All about the influencers, as has been mentioned above.
