That end product looks better than the pic on the packet. I can see mushrooms too, although this new found rioja does seem intent on premature blindness Lu

...15% - no wonder these Spaniards sleep all afternoon
That is straight from the boxes mouth with no addition, ornamentation or condimentation of any kind.
This is the actual Funghi flavour. Probably needed calibrated up by 1 minute for the extra 25g

Pizza is surely a gift from the baby Jesus straight to a blokes freezer.
Is there any other top drawer food feast that will cook itself to perfection with such minimal effort while a fella attends to his festive bubbly consumption needs?
Just finished this master piece. :)

^ What is it? Quiche? Spanish Tortilla?

Mine was a cottage but not sure what the technical difference is.
Coincidentally tried to get one this week after a hankering came over me but they were sold out so I got a 1.8kg lasagne instead
Looks like this balls out 15% rioja is medically classified as a prophylactic too according to the label
Attachment 60988
I guess at that strength skulling the whole bottle makes you statistically 99.8% safe from causing any unwanted pregnancies
^ Yep.
^Might be easier to find these if you like the taste of lamb. One cube thrown in with beef mince while you're browning it and the flavour is so close that most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

^ which'll be even harder to find than lamb:)

I parboil the spuds, maybe 10 minutes, a lot depends on the type of spud. Drain them, hold the lid and give the pan a shake. If you got the right spuds and boiled for the right length of time the spuds will be just a little bruised and flaking on the outside. Get it wrong and you have mash.
Transfer the spuds to a roasting tray, baste with hot fat , oil will probably do, and roast away. That flaky surface turns out a lovely crispy spud.
Nope. Can't get this curry to look photogenic.

^ I was admiring the Hustler behind it
Thanks Shu!
Gotta love that retro-futuristic Flash Gordon design from the golden age of intercontinental nuclear warfare.
No slouch at a paint-stripping Mach 2 either.
Perfect for dealing with those communists that not even the big daddy of all bombers, the B-52, could reach.
Today's dinner was a 1.8kg serving of Lasagne a-la Bloke

Remove from plastic tray and place in oven.
Remove from oven 55 minutes later and serve with a spoon.
Attachment 61064
Eat direct from foil tray to avoid washing up.
^ You can't microwave them?
I would call something as fancy as an oven baked lasagne a 'Dinner' rather than 'Blokes cooking'!
And is that a submarine over by that jug thingy on the left?
Reasons against microwaving would be
1. It is in an aluminium foil tray
2. I think it is not actually cooked as purchased. I think the 55 minutes in the oven is to actually cook it, not just heat it up.

New bloke-batch of Indian curry knocked up this evening for a week and half of top nosh and will have me smelling like the char-wallah from It Aint Half Hot Mum by Christmas day
Attachment 61251
This batch is a more radiant tandoori orange colour since I did not add turmeric this time. I also used out of date cream that had been abandoned in the freezer for months. It smelled fine but was a bit curdly looking which has oddly been an improvement since regular cream tends to neutralize the edge of the spices and vinegar a bit. The curdly cream has left the curry with a tangy sharp edge. Might switch to coconut cream instead of double cream for the next batch.

Based on your past posts I assume that is a ready-made meal? I am considering doing a scratch lasagna and could use one of those trays. :)
You can buy then at the supermarket Subs, no need to wash Loopers one and reuse it
Don't listen to Willy Snubs. Reduce, Reuse, Recycycle is the word. This badboy is in the post and should be with you by boxing day.

Bit of an odd shape to fry so I sliced this odd looking thing length ways.
Attachment 61477
I was not sure how to tell when one of these fellas is burnt since it starts of black.
Attachment 61478
I thought they needed to be cooked like sausages so I erred on the side of caution and gave it a decent fry.
Attachment 61480
Not the most photogenic dish but quite yummy.
Attachment 61481
I then googled it and apparently they are already cooked during production so you are only really heating it up when you fry it.
Oh well I will know next time although I just noticed in the photo that it is 10 days out of date so the long fry was probably fortunate.
