Leftover lasagne reheated. Tastes better 2nd time round with more cheese added.
Barbie has got a new party-dress. It's a Nazi party-dress!
She is proud to join the ranks of Des Heeres

Things really kicked of at the sat'day neet Nazi party later on when old Gunter, the Obersturmbannführer, got at the Drambuie and lost all measure of ranking propriety
A few sore heads tomorrow I reckon

Loops I take it with your over judicious use of non-stick and Aluminium containers you are not worried about getting old :)
Loops, I love the attention too detail, but them Nazi Barbie playthings from the "Joy Division " require proper leather boots:ourrules:

During the 3 hour power outage tonight I dug out my gas camping stove to heat my back-to-basics blokes camping chilli beans for cheesy bean dip in the dark
But then just as I finished my candle-lit bubbly the Lord said unto the meek Let there be Light and lo the Shepherds were blessed so I ended up having an oven cooked pizza instead

Hot dogs with a side order of raw steak, snubbles will.be well impressed :)
Not bad for £3.25.
Added a few more veggies, a packet of microwaved basmati rice and some peanuts coz they'd ran out of cashew nuts.
Very nice...

^ i'm a bit sad about peanuts, especially dry roasted. I used like them fried with red onions and sprinkled on my steak - had to cut it out as i'm getting older.

brands vary widely, nice to know that's an ok one to try.
^It was surprisingly good and I must buy another one to keep in the freezer. You couldn't count the amount of joints here that deliver pizza, but the place we like the best by far doesn't open till 16:00. That's no help for watching NRL/AFL games that start in the early afternoon, like today, and wanting some pizza to snack on during the games.
Yes but the other 2 AFL games and both NRL games are all early afternoon. Meanwhile, the WC ladies cricket final is on tv too between Oz and England that I'll be keeping en eye on. Looks very much like more rain is on the way this morning, a great day to write off as couch time :)
^The cricket's good viewing and going ok, England won the toss then sent Australia in and have got them on the rack at 0-120. Might see if I can berley up a bite on the Cricket Scores thread :)

M'Sahib giving me a hard time last night to use up the vegetables in the fridge before they had to be thrown out. Basically potato, carrots, peppers, onions, tomatoes etc. First thoughts were to just make up a large vegetable soup, though as I started to prep the veg, thought maybe something a little more different.
This is all just made up on the hoof, but vegetables and chicken, topped with sliced potatoes with some herbs thrown in.

Browned off the chicken pieces first of all.

Once browned, removed from the pan and put aside. In with the peppers (red, green, yellow), red onions, carrots, and garlic.

Let them soften for 15 minutes, then added the fresh tomatoes, and threw in a tin of diced tomato and some puree, along with a good seasoning of S&P.

After another 10 minutes, put the chicken back in, along with some dried basil and fresh parsley, and a good slug of cream and some grated parmesan to enrich everything.

Another 5 minutes, then into the oven dish and topped with the sliced potatoes.

Added some grated mature cheddar.

Into the oven for 30 minutes.

I would have never thought to make something like that out of those ingredients. Looks great!
