...Our first meal in the Siam Icon (4th floor in the Rose dining area: you'll note SD couldn't do a thing with his hair)...we were expecting astronomical prices, but found menu items to be on a par with other Japanese restaurants that we frequent. Everything came all at once so here it is:
The salmon and tuna sushi to start were well prepared and fresh-tasting; the larger prawn tempura and vegetable tempura featured a perfectly crispy batter with no oil drip presented. The last dish was the star: a salmon avocado roll drizzled in a light pesto sauce (a first for me). It was a fabulous flavor combo. We enjoyed a satisfying lunch and plan to return, if only for the salmon roll. B2100 with a large draft Asahi and green tea.
