    Koi carp questions

What animals can cohabitate with them? I've read they are friendly and won't kill other species but a bit worried they may be eaten.

And what animals would make nice viewing from a glass gallery in a basement with a side on view?

There's a lot of mosquitos outside, so I'm guessing it needs Mosquito fish.

    Any other suggestions.

What about terrapins? And what fish will keep the pond cleaner or clearer.
Or do I need to get in there with a squeegee

I'll get you some pics of the outside tomorrow, I get eaten alive out there at this time
    TIA

I don't know much, but I know that terrapins fucking pong and the tank/pond needs an awful lot of cleaning because of this.

Seems to be settling in, nonetheless.

We'll see how long this resident fashion last.

    Carp pond, indeed.

    Best to ya, Dills...

    Not goldfish, anyway.

Learned that it was those fellas causing the algae bloom, or whatever it's called that clouded up me wee perspex 40x30cm.

I'd keep it simple, 1 or 2 trusted breeds.

I read golsfish xohabitat well, then remembered your tank that looked like Jeff's kitchen

Koi are good algae eaters as are catfish and other bottom dewellers, but they fuckin race around and stir up all the sediment like your average goldfish

Was a constant battle keeping my koi pond clear/clean, then I put in some sucker mouth catfish They did a great job and any sediment stirred up was taken care of by the filter.

Why don't you get some tilapia... then when you get bored of them you could dust off your breadmaker and cook 'em up.

Failing that... you could dust off your ice cream maker and invent pla nin ice cream for the local Thai community.
